This Gold Plated Ciborium is 24 carat Gold plated from the inside & outside. The Ciborium stands 8.75 inch (22 cm) tall and has a fluid capacity of 20.5 US fluid ounce/ 650 ml. The Ciborium is made of 100% Pure Brass and the base metal is Nickel & Chrome electro-plated from the outside (40-60 microns) and then with Sterling Silver (SI) followed by 24 Carat Gold (40-60 microns). The gold used for plating is 24 carat bank gold coin with 99.995 purity and not any cheap industrial gold. The base of the Ciborium is not left hollow and is covered with a base plate. The Ciborium comes with a tight fitting lid
